Gracious And Healthy Lifestyle

Here is a poem written by John Smith Williams about healthy lifestyle...
A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Here I am Seventy Plus.
Much to heavy to run for a bus.
I read these books about healthy lifestyles,
And would love to walk for miles and miles.
But alas I suffer from cabinet makers disease
And my chest has dropped down near my knees,
Past my draws at any rate, And now I fear it's far to late,
Past my draws at any rate, And now I fear it's far to late,
To remedy, this state of sad decay, So will put it off til another day.
And sadly sigh with some regret,
But wait a minute! there's some hope yet.
I'm not so bad when others I see.
With big pot bellies and wobbly knees.
I can at least stand straight and tall,
And the old tummy does'nt fall,
Over the beltline, at least not much,
And my toes, I still can touch,
With some effort I must admit,
Then I'm short of breath, just a little bit.
So for now I'll read my books,
And read of lives, and healthy looks.
Maybe later, I'll take some action,
But for now survive, with smug satisfaction.

Maximising Our Potential

One must also motivite oneself and make maximiun use of one's abilities.
To maximise one's potential, one must make learning a life-long habit,
also giving one's very best in all academic and co-circular activities....
Here are some verses from the Bible about maximising our Fullest Potential.....
Maximizing your Full Potential
Luke 13:10-17
How many of us know that when we came to Jesus we were messed up? We brought our issues to him. There are things in our lives that are deep rooted in the inside of us that do not measure up to God’s standards.
We may be saved, come to church, shout, speak in tongues, and enjoy the Lord, but we still have a struggle in our lives that we need to allow the Lord to come in and deal with.

We may be saved, come to church, shout, speak in tongues, and enjoy the Lord, but we still have a struggle in our lives that we need to allow the Lord to come in and deal with.
Luke 13 verse:
11-Sickness was caused by a demonic spirit for 18 years. This caused her to be bent forward or doubled over. We do not know her age. She could have gotten this sickness at 2 years old and now in the scripture she’s 20 years old, or 10 years and now she’s 28 years, or 35 years and now she’s 58 years, or she’s 62 years and now she’s 80 years old. She had been looking down because of an ailment in her body. If she had children, she could not look up to them.
We do not know what her age was. In order to effectively communicate with her, one would assume that they would have to lay under her direction of view in order to see her fac
e to speak to her. The bible says in verse 12 how Jesus called her over and told her that she was freed or loosed from her sickness.
13-We do the same thing as Jesus lays his hands on us or our situation and how we snapped upright to see the goodness of the Lord among the land of the living and how we glorify God when he lays his hands on us.
We used to sing a song, “Lay your hands on me Jesus, I don’t mind.”
Jesus didn’t take all day and all night to deliver this woman, just one touch.
God is not finished with us yet. He’s looking beyond our failures and still opening doors for us.
This woman came to the synagogue all the time. She went to the church all the time. The place where God is. She came here week after week and left with the same condition. And sometimes as believers we as Christians come to church in and out and are the same way with our conditions. We are ashamed and don’t know what to do about our situations. I believe this is how this woman felt. This woman was unable to be what Jesus wanted her to be so she could fulfill her full potential.
So this woman came to the synagogue and the first time for her maybe the word was being released. You may ask, Pastor how do you know that?
Well the bible says in John 1:1-2; 14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…
The scripture may have been in the church, but not Jesus. Now Jesus in his own way called her over. Notice how Jesus didn’t go to her. The reason was that Jesus wanted her to do what she could herself to get over to him. Jesus wanted to do something in her life that she couldn’t do for herself. You may not be able to straighten up, but you can walk over here to me. She had been used to looking at the dirt in her life. How many of us know that there is some dirt in our lives? Some of us just as this woman have become used to looking at the dirt of our failures, bad habits, fearfulness, brokenness, etc.
Jesus didn’t yell at her or hurried her to come over to him. She may have come over slowly but
she got her healing.
Some of us may be responding to Jesus’ called by walking slowly over to him. You may be taking small steps, but keep on walking. Things are not changing fast enough for you. He’s saying to take your time and come to him and he has your deliverance in his hands for you.
Jesus didn’t put on a show or performance. It is not recorded that he took all day and all night to heal her. There’s nothing even recorded that he traced the genealogy of the demons that afflicted her.
Jesus was willing to embarrass her to get her free.
-God may reveal to a man or woman of God to call us up for prayer because Jesus sees the need to take you higher. Some of you have been doubled over too long. The good news is:
-Jesus is here to deliver you and set you free...

Justice
Justice is having the moral courage to speak up when one sees something wrong.
Oh Justice!
You proclaim your honour in high places.
You walk into the tribunals with sparkling robes.
You seal judgements with the ring you possess,
And sit at grand parties with your rich scandalous friends!

Justice is to be impartial even at times when odds are against you.
It is also treating everyone fairly regardless of status, race or religion.
Justice is not doing something that will benifit you but hurt others....
This is a poem on Justice which is entitled: Oh Justice!

You proclaim your honour in high places.
You walk into the tribunals with sparkling robes.
You seal judgements with the ring you possess,
And sit at grand parties with your rich scandalous friends!
Oh Justice!
Where were you when Christ died in Golgotha?
Where were you when poison gas formed the pyramids?
Where were you when children died of hunger?
Where were you when the rich enslaved the poor?
Oh Justice!
Where were you when sinful men whipped The Lamb?
Where were you when infants were killed by rotten men?
Where were you when children cried though drought filled their eyes?
Where were you when men were marked as dogs?
OH WHERE WERE YOU WHEN YOU SENTENCED THE JUDGE TO THE CROSS?

Oh Justice!
Just answer me and you will see,
What power and glory has done to you!
Were you really present?
Or was evil draped in your gown?
Men's justice written on paper!
God’s Justice bled on the cross!

Integrity

Integrity
Integrity is purity in thought, motivation, intention, attitude, speech and action.Integrity will always take the way of humility,Seeing it not as a weakness but a strength.Integrity will protect rather than undermine.Integrity will support rather than undermine.Integrity will unite rather than divide.Integrity does not seek only its own good but also the good of others.Integrity is selfless not selfish.Integrity cares more about an honest reputation thanfor the furtherance of its own cause.

Freedom

Freedom
"Freedom" is the liberation of the bondage of sin. Freedom is living your own way of life. You can choose what person you want to become. In some countries, your way of life is already planned. You cannot become the person you want to be. Other people control your actionsand the things that you do.
The actual person who controls you should be yourself....
Here is a Verse from the Bible that represents Freedom...
Then Jesus said to those Jews who
believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are
believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are
My disciples indeed. 32. And you shall know the
(John 8:31, 32, NKJV)
Here is two Poem written by David Keig and James Grengs on Freedom...
Cry Freedom
Cry freedom With a quiet voice
Cry freedom And rejoice.
Cry freedom See the purest light
Cry freedom With fresh sight.
Cry freedom With a gentle will
Cry freedom And be still.
Cry freedom Till your heart does ache
Cry freedom And awake.
Cry freedom And rejoice.
David Keig
Freedom Is Never Free
They tell me 'Freedom is never free.'
They tell me 'Freedom is never free.'
I know that- More than most realize.
Freedom cost us more Than we should have to give.
Freedom cost us blood. It cost us the lives
Of our fathers, Our sons, Our brothers.
But while freedom is never free, Remember-
It has been bought at great price, And so is a thing of great value.
We must defend it, From those who would take it away.
The defense of our freedoms Will cost us-
More than we wish to pay. But we must pay, to defend,
For if we try to make freedom free, We forget-
True freedom is never free.

God-Fearing

God-fearing
God loves and He doesn't want us to be afraid. And if you live right, there's no need to fear anything. It's like if you drive a car within the speed limit, there's no fear of getting caught for speeding. (Of course, some people drive too fast and have no fear. We call these sort of people 'fools'!)
God loves, and because of that, we have the freedom to choose whatever we want to believe.
Here are a few different definitions of 'God-fearing' that religious people might come up with. Choose whichever you want to believe.

Here are a few different definitions of 'God-fearing' that religious people might come up with. Choose whichever you want to believe.
1) 'Fear', when talking about God, is synonymous with 'respect', 'reverence', 'piety', 'awe toward a supreme power', etc
2) 'God-fearing' is an archaic term that's been bouncing around for so many years that we're not too sure of the original meaning. Similar to terms like 'God-parents' and 'God speed' (or is it 'God's speed'?).
3) A Biblical reference is found in Exodus 20:20, which says that fearing God keeps us from sinning. Logic tells us that God cannot love evil, because evil is the opposite of love. God loves, but He doesn't love everything. God loves the sinner, but not the sin, and He gets pretty peeved when we sin. If we die as a sinner, we go to Hell, and I reckon that's where most souls go. Hell, whatever that is, and God's anger, sound like things to REALLY fear!

Fortunately there’s a simple way out of this.
Because God is love, He's a forgiving God. It's like if you cheat on your partner, you say you're sorry and you really mean it, and you promise never to do it again. Then, if you're lucky, your partner will forgive you. It's like that with God, but you're always lucky in that if you ask, with sincerity from your heart, He always forgives and then you are safe. All pretty simple really.
As we said at the top of this page, if you live right, as your heart tells you is God's way, then there's no need to fear anything.
