To maximise one's potential, one must set high goals and work hard to achieve them.One must also motivite oneself and make maximiun use of one's abilities.

Maximizing your Full Potential
Luke 13:10-17
How many of us know that when we came to Jesus we were messed up? We brought our issues to him. There are things in our lives that are deep rooted in the inside of us that do not measure up to God’s standards.
We may be saved, come to church, shout, speak in tongues, and enjoy the Lord, but we still have a struggle in our lives that we need to allow the Lord to come in and deal with.
How many of us know that when we came to Jesus we were messed up? We brought our issues to him. There are things in our lives that are deep rooted in the inside of us that do not measure up to God’s standards.
We may be saved, come to church, shout, speak in tongues, and enjoy the Lord, but we still have a struggle in our lives that we need to allow the Lord to come in and deal with.
Luke 13 verse:
11-Sickness was caused by a demonic spirit for 18 years. This caused her to be bent forward or doubled over. We do not know her age. She could have gotten this sickness at 2 years old and now in the scripture she’s 20 years old, or 10 years and now she’s 28 years, or 35 years and now she’s 58 years, or she’s 62 years and now she’s 80 years old. She had been looking down because of an ailment in her body. If she had children, she could not look up to them.
We do not know what her age was. In order to effectively communicate with her, one would assume that they would have to lay under her direction of view in order to see her fac
e to speak to her. The bible says in verse 12 how Jesus called her over and told her that she was freed or loosed from her sickness.
13-We do the same thing as Jesus lays his hands on us or our situation and how we snapped upright to see the goodness of the Lord among the land of the living and how we glorify God when he lays his hands on us.
We used to sing a song, “Lay your hands on me Jesus, I don’t mind.”
Jesus didn’t take all day and all night to deliver this woman, just one touch.
God is not finished with us yet. He’s looking beyond our failures and still opening doors for us.
This woman came to the synagogue all the time. She went to the church all the time. The place where God is. She came here week after week and left with the same condition. And sometimes as believers we as Christians come to church in and out and are the same way with our conditions. We are ashamed and don’t know what to do about our situations. I believe this is how this woman felt. This woman was unable to be what Jesus wanted her to be so she could fulfill her full potential.
So this woman came to the synagogue and the first time for her maybe the word was being released. You may ask, Pastor how do you know that?
Well the bible says in John 1:1-2; 14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…
The scripture may have been in the church, but not Jesus. Now Jesus in his own way called her over. Notice how Jesus didn’t go to her. The reason was that Jesus wanted her to do what she could herself to get over to him. Jesus wanted to do something in her life that she couldn’t do for herself. You may not be able to straighten up, but you can walk over here to me. She had been used to looking at the dirt in her life. How many of us know that there is some dirt in our lives? Some of us just as this woman have become used to looking at the dirt of our failures, bad habits, fearfulness, brokenness, etc.
Jesus didn’t yell at her or hurried her to come over to him. She may have come over slowly but
she got her healing.
Some of us may be responding to Jesus’ called by walking slowly over to him. You may be taking small steps, but keep on walking. Things are not changing fast enough for you. He’s saying to take your time and come to him and he has your deliverance in his hands for you.
Jesus didn’t put on a show or performance. It is not recorded that he took all day and all night to heal her. There’s nothing even recorded that he traced the genealogy of the demons that afflicted her.
Jesus was willing to embarrass her to get her free.
-God may reveal to a man or woman of God to call us up for prayer because Jesus sees the need to take you higher. Some of you have been doubled over too long. The good news is:
-Jesus is here to deliver you and set you free...
